Another Meridian 519 RF demodulator on eBay...I know that they are good but....

I know that anyone who has a Meridian 519 RF demodulator will know what a great and sturdy, well made piece of equipment.

I know that on eBay, there has been something of a resurgence of all things laserdisc recently...as evidenced by all the even most basic PAL only machines appearing (AND selling), as well as craigslist and others
out there.

If the seller just happens to be reading this...Mate, go back to the listing, scrap the "buy it now" and "nearest sensible offer" options, and amend it to start at about £50 and let the bidding dictate the final price!!!

I have bought and sold many items on eBay, I have never used those two - I would say limiting - options, and my items have sold and have been bought for about the pirces I was expecting.

It works in your favour to not (even if inaccurately) give the impression of greed. It works against you and will put any buyer right off.

Proof, I was in the market for another demodulator, as was one other member on these forums. But i would not go anywhere near this one. Not for that money.

I still want a demodulator, but this is getting ridicules. You can get a basic LD player and receiver for less than that.
I wonder if any schematics are floating around to build one.

Still looking for a Pioneer CLD-925. Looks like I'll need £200+ just to get an average one. I should have got into laserdisc sooner.
