I thought that this might be helpful to some who are hoping to get into DD5.1 LD sound...
I just found this available on eBay, whilst having my usual "waiting for my son get ready for school" hang-around.
Meridian AC-3 RF Demodulator.
I have a Meridian 519 and it is a really fantastic piece of equipment, as it not only accepts the AC3 feed from your LD player but will also take the optical feed too. The real beauty of the machine is that it will then send both feeds down only the one audio lead into your amp. It will automically detect and switch to RF5.1, DTS or Pro-Logic without any adjustment.
It is the demod that I have set up on my primary system in my living room. I cannot recommend it highly enough, and it is at a good price (if it stays around there).
My YAMAHA ADP-1 runs on my second system.
