Please remind me Icy, how long have you been a fan/collector of the big shiny silver things? How long has it taken you to reach the 'near four figure' heights?

Been a fan of the shiny discs since 1992 but its only over the last year or so that I have acquired over 430 Laserdiscs. Currently waiting for 20 more to be delivered. Hope I get them in time before christmas as the post at this time of year is a bit daunting.

May I ask what kind of outer sleeves you're using, bullruckle? I've been looking for some glossy ones like that and haven't come across any locally. Guess I'll have to finally buy some, even if it means importing them from Japan or somewhere.

Sorry for the late reply. I missed your post untill just now.
I found a used record store near my house that had them. Asked if I could buy a few. Sold them to me at 10yen a sleeve. I bought about 300 at the time I think.

have purchased a CLD925 in november 2011 after purchasing a yamaha AX1 amp and pioneer 1080i upscaler




since cld925 purchase i now have amassed a current collection of over 600 laser discs .. about 450 ntsc discs a good selection are ac3 and small amount of dts.

got into this via my brother who is icecapuk who also has a great selection

Hey bullruckle, yup been getting quite a few recently.
End Of Days I got from the states, I found a U.S. ebay seller selling 2500 discs on an individual basis(1 ebay auction) and I paid $49 + $20 p+p for it.
Most of the sealed discs I have recently aquired are from eBay also, seller: Bobozes. He used to run the biggest laserdisc emporium in Paris about 12 yrs ago and he remembered he had a load of sealed boxes in his warehouse only to reveal hundreds of Laserdiscs mostly sealed. What a find if you ask me. I have bought quite a few from him including "A civil action" and "Virus" and many others.

More recent additions are,
