The Carpenter titles are hypersweet. -Love the BTILC cover, and I always had great times watching the Assault disc.
    Great Superman cartoons.
Nice going getting the Criterions, too.

    Glad I found these 3...

Post  LaFong on Thu Mar 29, 2012 5:22 am

Several stores where I used to find LDs have closed down so lately; getting worthwhile additions to the collection has proven difficult ... until now.

I've been wanting this CAV & boxed release for years now. A handsome set of this overblown bit of fun and a guilty pleasure.

Then this came along. It's another disc I've been looking for (but I'm still looking for Making of Supergirl).

The third was this bit of solid entertainment. I've always liked this picture ever since it came out (in cinemas). It was shot in Super 35 so this pan/scan disc isn't too badly framed either. Yup. Quite pleased.

    Happy days.

Be warned though...One is never enough! You'll buy one and then a couple more then a few more and you'll think 'that's great, that'll do me for now!'

...and pretty soon it will be affraid

    New Arrivals from Japan...

Post  DGTWoodward on Wed Apr 11, 2012 8:52 am

Received another lot of Japanese titles from my friend actually in Japan, our own forumite 'Bullruckle' and here they are.

Always wanted this title, and never bought it so I am really glad to get it this way...

One of DC's "Big Three" I hopefully will get the complete DVD set soon, but this is an excellent way to start...

One of my wife's favourite movies, so it's good to have this alternative version of it...

Once again, a favourite of my wife, but mine also...love that car...

But these bad boys, these are my personal top picks from this lot, and once again Bully has judged my tastes perfectly...

And what to me is a superb little title, a still-sealed-shut Laserdisc in a size that I have never owned previously, my first 8" LD of one of my personal favourite films...
