G'day from down under

Name is Matthew and I've been into Laserdisc since 1992 but got my first player and discs in 2000

A mint condition Pioneer CLD 2950 which is still Mint or near mint (as clean now as when I bought it)

Now own 3 LD players. the 2950 which is my pride and joy along with a CLD 1850 I got for 30 bucks last week and a Sony MDP MR1 for $25 dollars. both work like new

my dream is to find and buy some pioneer elite's and a Runco LJR II THX certified LD player some day soon

Now have about 90 titles including
JAWS Signature collection big box set with cd soundtrack, novel, jaws brochure and all the discs in CAV
Arrival box set, Star Wars Trilogy special edition box set and many others

Ive been trying to find a laserdisc forum to chat with other dedicated collectors but had no luck until I revisited an old thread on home theater forum and clicked on the link to here

Ive been collecting movies since I was 7 Y/o/ that was 31 years ago.

VHS from 80 - 2011 (this is my last year for VHS buying)
Betamax - mid 90's onwards
LD - 2000
DVD - 1997 onwards

Hello again Matthew,

I have just seen your 'Pre-Cert' video on YT. Very good.

Now that I have a better camera (ie, one that I can actually connect to the computer! I have a mini DV camcorder...and can I get a *@X!"$* lead and software for it ?) I may start putting a few short films on myself.

I started with VHS, like many I suppose, and moved my way up to HD DVD and Bluray, but 11 months ago I bought a PIONEER CLD-D925 and have never looked back .

I enjoy your contributions here and your vids, and will them peeled for the next one.
