Thanks for letting me know. I am glad that it got to you safe and well. I hate the thought of these lovely things getting damaged in the post so if i have to send one, i am going to make damned sure it is secure!

Case in point...I have just got BATMAN FOREVER from bubbles151515 on eBay (you may have bought one or two from her) and the Royal Mail have managed to crease both top corners, despite it being packed in a thick card mailer and having "FRAGILE" written all over it!

That's a shame. Would you be able to claim compensation? I suppose it's difficult to see if it's damaged until you open it and then it's too late. I've never sent out a laserdisc before. If it looks damaged when it arrives, don't sign for it until you've checked it, if there is a problem with it I will make a claim. Fingers crossed it will be ok.

I am not too worried about it Marc, it is the only one that has been damaged so far.

I am sure that BR will get to me just fine. I shall, of course, let you know when it gets into my hot eager hands.

Having said that, BF does look better now that the LD is sitting in a protective clear PVC cover, and if it rest between the others in that part of the collection it may flatten and straighten out a bit more.

I hope you enjoy the X-FILES. When do you plan on watching it?

Probably won't get around to watching it until after Christmas as I'm working very long hours until then. But I think the week between Christmas and new year will be an ideal time to catch up on some LD watching

That looks really SERIOUSLY good. Is that a Laserdisc running through a projector unit? If so where is the unit because I cannot see it?

Is it that smallish round thing in the top of the frame?

It just looks so cool. The detail in the image, the clarity and strength of the digital display and the colour stability during the explosion.

Yeah it looks pretty good. It looks even better with all the lights out.

The projector is on the floor under the sofa. The round thing is just a lamp shade.

Here's the setup:

Projector BenQ PB6110 - second hand from local forum £50
Screen - Coated blind from ebay £35
Pioneer CLD - D515 LaserDisc Player - second hand shop £30
Sony DAV-DZ410 DVD/Surround Sound - FREE - Freecycle.org

The Sony DVD has a line input which is connected to the LD which gives me Pro Logic. Eventually I'll pick up one of those demodulators, but for now it sounds pretty good. Especially as it cost me nothing
