I have been a Laserdisc user since the first Phillips vlp700 machine. Now not working. Then a bought the Pioneer 1450 still working then the Pioneer d925 still working. I now have 2 of these. Also a Pionner d515. The older one without ac3 output. I also have a Harman/ Kardon ac3 decoder for my new home cinema amp. I have around 100 laserdiscs and some box sets. I love the format.

Great to see people still with a passion for Laserdiscs. I managed to pick up 40 sealed laserdiscs from Southampton last weekend! I am a novice laserdisc collector so forgive the dumb question, but what advantage is the ac3? I have a Pioneer CLD 2850 and it sounds great through surround sound.
