Hello,

I've come to these forums every now and again as I'm googling for laserdiscs to buy. I myself am fairly new to laserisc as an adult. Growing up my family had CEDs in the house. But like the vast majority of people, we went with the flow of technology (regrettably) and didnt keep our previous players from the tech of the past.

I decided to take the plunge a little over a year ago and bought a laserdisc player simply cause there is a plethora of Hong Kong films that are on LD that never made it to dvd.

So I just wanted to say hi to fellow ld enthusiasts and hopefully be in contact with some of you for future purchases of HK LDs.

I have only recently joined the ranks of LD owners/fans too. I got my first player in May of last year.

I'm with you there. HK discs are a lot of fun. Do you have any faves? Do you have any cool ones in your collection, or are you searching? I have a few. -And although I'm not really a seller, we can at least exchange some opinions and enthusiasm.

Yeah I'm not much of a seller either. I may part with some that I have if I had the chance to get one that I've been looking for.

Practically all of my HK LDs are rare and have not been on dvd. But some of my favorites and coolest are

-Pedicab Driver
-License to Steal
-Pantyhose Hero
-Stone Age Warriors (letterboxed )
-Slickers vs Killers
-Lover's Tear

I have plenty more but those were the main ones I was searching for and obtained when I started out with laserdiscs.

Wow! Already you have titles there I used to dream about getting. I also have Lover's Tear, but Pedicab Driver was one I missed unfortunately (though I haven't given up).

I like a wide range of HK pictures, but for some reason I really treasure the original HK releases of titles like "Killer Angels" where Moon Lee sings. I don't have enough girls-with-guns movies on disc, but the ones I've managed to get are treasures.
I recon you feel the same way about yours.
Joyce and Sammo. You can be proud of the fact that you have so many pictures with them. Very, very nice indeed.

i want Killer Angels and other Moon Lee and Yukari films badly. I just recently got The Nocturnal Demon and The Big Deal both of which showcase Moon Lee's comedic side.

The were both fantastic stars. I guess it's an obvious thing to say, but that roller skate fight scene with Moon in Nocturnal Demon is just jaw-dropping.
Yukari is a long time favorite. The discs I have with her aren't that many, but they are treasures all the same. It was cool when she did that fight cameo in Project S.
