There isn't much available there as ther has been before, but it will be your best bet for a better deal.

According to the creator and series' main writer/show runner, after WB so skillfully cocked-up the PQ on the DVDs...the LDs became the best way to view the show.

I love this series and have been lucky enough to meet about 99% of the cast and crew a few times so please, let me know how you get on as I would love to hear about it.

Yes, that is exactly the reason why I'm looking for these discs. The DVDs are pretty terrible and I actually prefer the 4:3 version. The widescreen often times doesn't add anything but a whole lot of empty space, and the actors seem to be too close together.
I have a set of NTSC tapes, but the LDs would best (for the episodes available).

PS: I already raided lddb for everything there was available.

I did manage to score "The Gathering" and volume 1.1 (Born To The Purple/Soulhunter) pristine and sealed for about £20 inc P+P from Belgium.

Did they stay sealed? Yeah, right...for about the 20 seconds it took me to strip off the cellophane and get those babies into my Pioneer! And JMS was right too, they look lovely.

My first ever B5 LD came my way as part of a sale from eBay for an AC3 modified CLD-2950. I had no idea it was tere, and as I was going through the titles examining the discs for damage/marks, changing out the 'elephant's comdoms' for porper inner sleeves and putting them into PVC outer protectors...I blindly reached for the next one and it was "Babylon 5: In The Beginning"

But trust WB and their ability to massively cock-up all things B5, you know about the ridiculous release schedule for B5 LDs right...?

Yeah, it's a damn shame that they never finished releasing the series on LD. I have a copy of "In the Beginning" here as well, but I'm still waiting for my "new" Pioneer to play it. Can't wait to watch it though.

I don't have any 'Babylon 5' LDs but I have LOTS of PAL VHS sets...... any interest.... I wouldn't want much for 'em.....

Thanks for the thought Den. Why would I laugh about VHS? It saw me (and probably the majority of the rest of the world) very well for a VERY long time indeed! As a corollary to that, it remains (along with LD) one of the only ways to see the unadjusted STAR WARS movies before they got 'improved'

As for BABYLON 5 VHS? Well, as you might imagine, I have them all on VHS already, but the thought is much appreciated.
