Making a List of Titles to Sell Empty Making a List of Titles to Sell

Post  cricketdiane Thu Sep 29, 2011 7:04 am

As I explained in my introduction, my roommate left about ten years ago and these laser discs were abandoned then toted around by me, then stored in my parents' basement. The covers of some are completely ruined, but most of them are in fair or good condition (as in, the covers - the laser discs on all of them are just as they were. They were handled properly until being stored in the durn basement.)

Anyway, I am making a list of the titles. And, after consulting Ebay and wikipedia, I am convinced that there is no way to tell what anyone would pay for any of them.

I'm listing the ones that are in reasonable, fair and good condition (not all of the cases are perfect, so what to do about that? I don't know.)

Maybe pictures, but for now - the list's first part -

Here are the first few that I wrote down so far -

    Star Trek TV
    "Return to Tomorrow"
    "Patterns of Force"

    Star Trek TV
    "Menagerie I, II"

    Star Trek TV
    "Dagger of the Mind"
    "The Carbomite Maneuver"

    Star Trek Tv
    "Journey to Babel"
    "Friday's Child"

    Star Trek Original Pilot (unopened)
    All-color Collector's Edition

    Star Trek TV
    "Assignment Earth"
    "Spock's Brain"

    Star Trek TV (unopened)
    "The Enemy Within"
    "Mudd's Women"

Star Trek TV (second copy of this one)
    "Journey to Babel"
    "Friday's Child"

    Star Trek TV
    "The Man Trap"
    "Charlie X"

    Star Trek TV
    "By Any Other Name"
    "The Omega Glory"

    Star Trek TV
    "The Enterprise Incident"
    "The Paradise Syndrome"

    Star Trek TV
    "The Devil in the Dark"
    "Errand of Mercy"

    Star Trek TV
"Where No Man Has Gone Before"

    "Ghostbusters"

    "Indiana Jones"

    (cover not perfect)

    "Aliens" (on 2 discs)

    there are also these -

Lonny Chin, First Home Video Playmate

    Miami Spice
    "Feel the Heat"

(and there's more of those kinds like the Playboy ones that the covers were ruined but the laser disc is good.)

    NOTE -
There are a lot more I haven't written down yet. Also, the Star Trek TV ones are all in very good condition including their cases.

If anyone is interested, let me know. I will post the other titles probably tomorrow after I get some sleep. There is another box that seem to all be in very good condition.

    Sean Connery

    "All About Eve" (2 discs)

And from the bit racy side -

    "Private Lessons"

    "The Final Taboo"

    "Emmanuelle"

    "Oriental Dreams"

The ones below are with covers which are way far from perfect but the laser discs are fine, so I don't know what can be done with them -

    Lady Chatterly's Lover

    Star Trek Movie

    Playboy Vol.4

    My Tutor

    House of Dreams

    Pumping Ethel

    Sleepless Nights

NOTE - the ones between here and the paragraph that says - these have covers which are far from perfect - all have covers that were damaged, but the laser discs are likely fine because they were in their sleeves. Apparently the basement had a water event - at some point and damaged those covers. I don't know what to do about those, but the ones above those are in fair to good condition to really good for the covers and the laser discs should be okay on all of them.

That is the list. Some must still be at Mom and Dad's which I'll check later so this is it for now.

    What next?

That doesn't sound familiar - but I will look for it. I haven't listed all of them yet and it looks like about half of them might still be in Mom and Dad's basement.

In a little while, I'm going to finish listing the ones that are here and start taking some photos of them. It also looks like there are some sound specs that might be good to list with them also.

Regardless, I will keep my eyes open for that one.
