How My System Is Connected Up At The Moment.

This is how my main system has been connected for a good while now...I never realised how convoluted it all was until I tried writing it all down....

The upscaler is definately making a difference and does clean up the image rather pleasingly. I am in two minds as to whether it is noticable to anyone other than me for it to stay as yet.

My wife can also see the difference, but she too is undecided as to the actual degree of improvement and if it would show to eyes other than ours. I will have to import my mum and sister in...and conduct a blind, straw-poll test.

Does this connection plan seem overly complicated...?

Hi DGTWoodward, Nice Rig if you dont mind me saying, I use an upscaler the pioneer PDA-V100HD. so from laserdisc to upscaler I use S-VHS which converts to HDMI 1080i. Watching Wild Wild West, The Haunting and The Peacemaker on my 1080p 50'plasma was just jaw dropping.

Can I just say also that the Sub also adds a 3rd depth presence to any movie, especially The Haunting with its DD-EX surround soundtrack.(grab that cushion if you know what I mean) lol. If you can grab a Rel Stadium III you will know what I mean.
