White specs flash up on screen when watching movie

Hi there
I have just got a Laserdisc player, it is a pioneer CLD-515. I have a problem with it though
when I watch a film and I have tried about six discs I get whit specs flashing on the screen quite often. I did find when I first put it on it did make quite a lot of noise and the cd draw when open would not shut it would automaticaly open again . So I tried a laserdisc and it would only play side two. But after few minutes it was all ok. So I think I might of done something that coursed the white specs, probably in transit when I picked up the player. The specs are not random they seem to be fixed when I rewind then play again there the same shape and size and in the same place so I thought it might be the disc but they all do the same the ones I tried. Does anyone knows of a service repair for laserdisc players in the uk to see if it can get it sorted? Also does anyone have an idea what would course this?
