    Derbyshire Laserdisc - hello!

    Just a quick hello! Stumbled across the site only yesterday lol! Never realised it existed!! Shocked

    Great to see such a wonderful site being so well updated almost solely for LD reviews, sales, memories, dicussions etc.

    Here are a few pics of my increasingly bonkers setup (note that the speakers get bigger) Razz

    The LD is currently upscaled to 1080i (seems the most stable overall) via the Yamaha RXV-765 AV amp. Better amps perform a better job i believe, but composite-in, to a 1080i HDMI output seems to give decent enough results. I also have a setup (calibrated) on the TV for the LD!

    Interestingly, the AV Essentials LD that i own really DOES work - the 3D comb filter on the tv when directly connected to the LD really does help to smooth out those nasty 'striped newsreader' type of noise distorions (if that makes any sense?)
