Casanov with Faye Dunaway in Japanese audio not playing

Post  bmwmotogreg on Thu Feb 16, 2012 2:20 am

I have a Casanova LD that I picked up somewhere along the line. I am running digital optical out of my Pioneer and this is the first movie that I have tried to play, video works fine but no audio.... and the subtitles are in Japanese. Any idea what I am doing wrong and/or how do I get this to play?
    Thank you.

If other discs work fine I would guess that the disc was pressed in analog audio only and your player isn't picking it up. Many of the players would allow you to switch to the analog channels (usually only via the remote) to deal with this situation (if that is what the problem is).
