    Hello all,

Just wanted to say how pleased I am that more forums like this are popping up for fans of the medium. Before now, the closest communities were those devoted to transferring LDs onto DVDs. Looking forward to talking about the discs themselves with folks who genuinely enjoy them and not just seeing them as a means to an end.

    Be well all!

Welcome to the ever growing community of Laserdisc buyers, viewers, lovers.

Yes, sure enough, as the format (in worldy terms) 'just gets older' more folks than ever seem to be jumping onto the Laserdsic bandwagon.

On eBay, you cannot buy a half decent, mid-range (ie AC3, PAL/NTSC, optical, both side) player for less than around £150 UK, and top line reference machines at well...WELL over those prices, AC3-RF demodulators at about £100 and up and titles ranging anywhere from 99p to really silly money for things like MI:2 and The Matrix,

The world of the big shiny spinning disc is doing very well at the moment.

Great mix of folks, machines, set-ups and tastes here so just get stuck right in Very Happy
