Now I can understand that he only had the one hand to work with as the other one was holding the camcorder, but good grief, would anyone here do that with their laserdisc titles?

Slam the about, dump then down onto a player like that, put them back into the cover/sleeve upside down...ie with the sleeve opening facing downward? affraid

My heart sank as he crashed the edge of...was it Jurassic Park, down onto another disc, edge first.

I get irritated with myself if I lift a disc near the corner of the cover Mad

I don't really like James Rolfe. Sure, some years ago, he was fun, but I'm so tired of his jokes. Calling him a nerd, like some people do, is an understatement for the real nerds. Just take a look at his "Ps3 as a Dvd-player" review, that video is a big joke for many reasons, some of the reasons...

1: Unless if a Dvd-movie is has anamorphic 1.78:1 ratio or simply a non-anamorphic 1.37:1 ratio, the black bars are ALWAYS a part of the actual picture.
2: If the Dvd-player outputs signal in 16:9-mode or 4:3-mode has nothing to do with the cables you're using.
3: Of course the controls are diffrent when using the Ps3 as a BD-player rather then a Dvd-player as BD has more features on the remote control.
4: The fat Ps3 cannot output DTS-HD MA via bitstream, which is the reason he didn't get any sound at first. It's not a problem related to Blu-Ray, it's a problem related to Dvd.
    5. The diffrences between Dvd and Blu-Ray are huge, no matter what he think.

There are more things to mention but I don't have time to do it. A bit stupid in his video about LD that he says "It's not digital like a Dvd, I don't know what it is". If it isn't digital, it's quite obviously analog...

I quite liked James Rolfe's videos about old formats, especially the laserdisc one - in fact if anyone asks me what a Laserdisc is when I rant and rave about them, then I usually point them in this direction of this video. I also really enjoyed his 16mm video he did with Mike and quite a few of his other film-related ones.
