Hi everyone. My name is Wim and have been a big laserdisc fan since 1993 and still buy them occasionally. As far as I'm concerned it is STILL the most beautiful format there ever was, and by the looks of it it's going to remain that for a long time. Nice to find there's more enthusiasts for the 'big ones' out there. Here's hoping for a come-back :-)

Welcome to the forums. Sadly I missed the big LD 'thing' first time around, but I have more than made up for it in the last 14 months.
I agree about the 'still going to be around for a good while' sentiment. I shall be getting some discs from Japan soon, have just received two LD recently and have another two on the way.

I seem to have experienced LD at it's peak (the mid '90's), so many great releases back then. But I'm keeping the format alive, just ordered a few new ones today even. Am really enjoying adding titles I didn't get back then (for mostly financial reasons :-) - and completing the collection.
