I have been a LD collector for close to 20 years. I just received my latest player, a Pioneer CLD-704. They say it's the same player as the Pioneer elite CLD-79 without the fancy front. I have a fairly small collection, specializing in DTS laserdiscs.

    cheers,

    My 2 latest finds...

A "squeeze" version of "The Fugitive". These were essentially anamorphic laserdiscs given as promotional items with JVC 16:9 televisions in the '90s. It was mislabeled on ebay, so I only paid $20.

The other is a special edition of "Amadeus" that includes a script, unique commentary, and a 2 CD soundtrack that is said to be superior to the released soundtrack. It must weigh 5 pounds. It's amazing how much care went into some of these releases.
